About the initiative
The Plymouth Women's Network is a community initiative formed in 2016. We aim to maintain a platform in Plymouth for women to network, support initiatives related to their empowerment and working towards greater participation in a positive, fair, compassionate and environmentally-friendly society.
We seek to aid women's emotional and physical health, as well as their spiritual and professional development in Plymouth.
We do this by:
- Stimulating greater connection between women's groups.
- Spreading information about initiatives, groups or events for women's emotional, physical, spiritual and professional development and finding ways to support these.
We also help to organise an International Women's Day event every year, with an horizontal, inclusive perspective, and in collaboration with other groups.
We have a core group for decision-making, and an email list and facebook group for announcements, sharing information and exchanging ideas.
